DICE took notice fast. The recent patch confirmed that characters can no longer stand on drones, no matter the gadget combo. The update also rolled out broader bug fixes, tweaks to performance, and more adjustments based on player feedback since launch. Developers seem determined to make matches feel fair again—no more sky snipers or invisible air taxis cluttering the battlefield. It is the kind of change that keeps matches competitive instead of chaotic. The skies belong to pilots again, where they should.
Sure, many players will miss the hilarity of bouncing through the air on what looked like a flying GoPro, but this fix makes sense. You can still catch clips of those moments online, a reminder of just how creative people can be when given a toolbox and a lot of freedom.
