Каждый молодой человек оказывается перед необходимостью пройти медкомиссию. Будущее службы определяет медкомиссия, которая фиксирует диагнозы. Официальная классификация здоровья призывников устанавливает степень пригодности. Категория «А» означает отсутствие серьёзных болезней. Группа «Б» показывает наличие лёгких заболеваний, но армия допускается. Группа «В» даёт освобождение от призыва. Категория «Г» временное освобождение, а «Д» исключает возможность службы.
Около 200 диагнозов в «Расписании болезней» дают освобождение. Это тяжёлые болезни сердца, серьёзные психические нарушения, патологии органов чувств, серьёзные бронхолёгочные заболевания, патологии суставов и костей и целый ряд других болезней.
Сердечные патологии и психические болезни — диагнозы для категории «В». Сердечная недостаточность и пороки делают службу невозможной. Диагнозы психиатрического характера однозначно дают освобождение.
Заболевания глаз и плохой слух — причина не служить. Катаракта, глаукома, сильная близорукость мешают выполнению военных задач. Глухота, тугоухость, хронические отиты также ведут к освобождению.
Болезни лёгких тоже важный фактор. Бронхиальная астма, туберкулёз, хронический бронхит мешают прохождению службы.
Заболевания позвоночника являются основанием для «В». Сколиоз, остеохондроз, межпозвоночные грыжи мешают строевой подготовке.
Медицинская комиссия призывников: каких врачей проходят. Терапевт, хирург, психиатр, офтальмолог, ЛОР и другие назначают исследования. Если есть сомнения, назначаются УЗИ, МРТ и анализы, которые подтверждают или опровергают болезнь. Подготовка документов в военкомат: справки и анализы для категории «В» или «Д». Заранее собранные документы служат доказательством заболевания. Споры с военкоматом медкомиссии — добиться отсрочки. При несогласии с решением, разрешено направить заявление. Это гарантирует повторное обследование.
